The campaign that originally united us is Miss-Ogynist University of London, a campaign against the Miss University of London Beauty Pageant.
On the Tuesday 10th of March we will be the 'Stereotypes Rally', a day of action in the SOAS JCR.
Join us to unite in celebrating and exploring the beauty, diversity and talent of our sex...
11am- 11pm "Beauty is not a contest" ART, film and photography EXHIBITION
2pm Sister circle for interfaith dialogue- tea, cakes, and discussion.
7-10:30pm The Stereotypes Rally
Female talent showcase- open mike MUSIC, comedy, speakers- performances include the Muffia, Ellie, Luisa, Suswati, Elena.... contact us to get melodic/ voice dissent etc etc!
Fancy dress- interpret the Stereotypes theme as you will....
*** THE PROTEST- Meet SOAS steps 10:30pm or at Crystal at 11pm
A protest set to be a carnival-esq cornucopia of surprises with art, feminist choir, costumes, tea, doughnuts...don't forget your duffel coats!
